Smash Burgers don't aim to be pretty, they won't and don't need to be a perfect circle. It's all about the flavour and there is science behind it all.

It's called the Maillard Reaction. When smashing a ball of ground beef with the right fat content onto a very hot surface it sets off a chain reaction of events. Sugars and amino acids react to form a caramelised crust leaving nowhere for the fat to escape, it remains in the burger. There's no escaping the fact, fat = flavour.

We specialise in smashed, flat top griddled beef patties, cooked on a cast iron hotplate in our own outside kitchen, here in Meon Vale, just outside Stratford-upon-Avon. Our burgers are oozing with cheese (if that's your thing) and served in a lightly toasted brioche bun with salad and your sauce of choice. Nothing more, nothing less. Our aim is simply to serve you with a luxury smash burger, directly to your door using local, high-quality ingredients.
